When I thought about creating my own advert, I immediatly thought about fashion advertising. Also, it make sense because that is my area.

There are also many examples of fashion adverts, and vintage too, through ads we can also see the evolution in the fashion world and how trends have changed.

History of Fashion Advertising

Fashion advertising is a branch within the advertising field that focuses on creating promotions for the fashion industry. The fashion industry has a number of unique needs from a promotional perspective, which can make it challenging and exciting to work for as an advertiser, and some of the most famous advertising campaigns in history have been campaigns for major fashion houses. Advertising in this field includes ads for garments, purses, shoes, and similar products of fashion houses, along with high end perfumes.

Over the past few years, fashion advertising has envolved into huge works of art and are distinctive because of their abundance of colors and figuratively ideias.

The begining of fashion advertising was developed in western civilization and is considered to be the late seventeenth century

In the Nineteenth Century the technique of photography was developed and that helped to develop fashion promotions. In this time Vogue started to use fashion photography.

"Advertising reflects the mores of society, but does not influence them," wrote advertising powerhouse David Ogilvy in 1982, supposing a sort of ethical neutrality for the industry he pioneered.
